CES 2010: Dell + Best Buy = Studio 15z Laptop

The Dell Studio 15z was designed, in part, by Best Buy’s Blue Label Program, which is a focus group program for technology. With the Intel Core i5 it can push an HD signal straight out to your HDTV. It’s a solid laptop and should be out later this year.

I’ve had a Dell …
I’ve had a Dell engineer come out within 3 hours of calling them to replace the PSU in one of my servers. That’s on standard warranty. Customer support is Dell’s best feature, and it’s better than any other PC manufacturer. It’s just a shame their products don’t live up to the same standard.

The computer was mainly used by my soft-minded father and my computer illiterate sister. But i will NEVER take back my disappointment in their customer support. Seeing as I was the one who was forced to call them.

i got a dell studio 1555 that i bourt for 1500 at the start of last year when they first came out. they have excellent customer support. when it was overheating and i rang them, got a repairman over 2 days later and he replaced the motherboard,fan and heatsink. dell is a great company and the new studio 15 looks like a great laptop! i am very happy with mine it does everything i want it too. usualy css on average 120fps mark. thats with the 256mb graphics and 2.4 ghz dual core.

My dad’s 1500 dollar dell laptop has had it’s HD replaced twice now…….not a trustworthy company…terrible customer support.

@LuNYMiK3Y You can either center the touchpad on the letter part of the keyboard or on the combined letter and number keypads. The former feels like the touchpad is shifted to the left and the latter feels like the touchpad is shifted to the right. This wasn’t a problem when keyboards were not full-sized & did not have separate number keypads. IMHO, either way takes some getting used to but the latter (right shift) is better for people who use their number pads a lot. I don’t.
