I want a new computer, but i saw that refurbished computers are a lot cheaper than new ones. So are they any good?

When it comes to Apple products always buy new. Like any other computer always buy new. Apple customer service can be annoying at best. I have purchased refurbished Apples and only had one good experience out of four.

so i want to get a computer and i know refurbished are a lot cheaper than the new ones, so i just want to know what the differences are and some defects of refurbished computers

If you’re buying from a reputable seller, there should be no defects compared to a brand-new model.

The difference is that the refurbished unit has been sent back to the manufacturer due to a fault with either the hardware or software (it could be anything from a faulty touchpad to software incompatibility). Most of the dealers I’ve communicated with on eBay claimed to not know what the initial fault(s) was, so the main things I look out for are:

1) The model itself – of course this is important, because refurbished or not, you’ll want to check reviews, etc., before committing to buying it

2) The warranty period – 1 year is the bare minimum, IMO, and that’s what most sellers offer for refurbished units. It should give you enough time to see if any problems show up.

If it’s suspiciously cheap, just ask the seller about what’s been refurbished.
