What are your reasons?

Yes, yes, yes, and YES! First off, this saves TONS of paper. Textbooks are often extremely large, which means lots of paper, which means lots of trees being cut down to make them. Secondly, I think that these computers should also be used for notes and such. It would be so much quicker to type notes than to write them (also saving paper!!), not to mention neater. Yes, there could be issues with students harming their computers/putting viruses on them, however, it could be handled like when a textbook is defaced (they must pay for a new one). So all in all, I think it’s a fantastic idea. It should happen!

A laptop and notebook mean the same.
A netbook is smaller, and usually has a much smaller hard drive, although I have two netbooks and both are 160GB hard drive.
A netbook contains no optical (cd/dvd drive)
A lot of netbooks come with linux installed rather than windows.
They are ideal for carrying around, one of mine has 10" screen and the other 9".
If you`re thinking of buying one you can buy a usb cd/dvd to plug in when necessary.
