Because you can build a NOT gate and an OR gate that operate instantly in Minecraft, you can make an ALU that operates instantly as well. This leads to an “instant computer” that operates far faster than any of the computers you’ve seen in Minecraft so far. Much of the credit goes to Veracity01 for the idea of positive and negative lines and the instant logic gates that result from it.

I remember lap tops being sold back when the Commodore 64 and Macintosh computers were starting out. All they could do were games and word processing. What were lap tops used for?

They we’rent really laptops back then, they were more like sewing machines eg the Compaq portable, or kind of a high end calculator like the Radio Shack model 100.

These PC’s were largely used to run word processors and simple spreadsheets. To communicate, you used a floppy disk or perhaps a built in modem operating at the blistering speed of 1200 baud!
Instead of the internet, there were bulliten boards operated by various entrepreneurs, kind of early day blogging.

How are computers used in magazine editing?

Computers are used as we use them, for spell check and typing, but more importantly for formatting. The visual image of a magazine page, from the pictures (and the cropping and captioning of them), the font sizes and headlines, and the very layout of the magazine is done page by page, all on a computer format.

I was just wondering if someone knows if there is a keyboard & mouse that i can buy, so that i can use 2 computers with one keyboard/mouse. I have tried using a kvm switch which seems to lose connection and plays up most of the time, when switching from windows to linux.

If not any other recommendations?

All you need is a kvm switch which you know, it could be possible that the switcher you have, had a snag and is not working properly.
