reasons why refurbished computers are better than new computers?

They are definitely not better.
Buying a refurbished computer is a lot like buying a reconditioned rental car. You never know how much people beat the snot out of it. It may run, but who knows how long it will last? Was/is it overclocked? Run at a high voltage?
Unless you must absolutely stick to lower cost refurbished systems, it’s better to buy new, knowing you won’t have to spend money out of pocket to fix or replace something it if breaks. Unless, of course, the refurbished machine comes with some sort of guarantee!
