The MSI GT780R just came in! We were excited to open the box and try out the unit. This is one of the few laptops we have seen that has a matte screen in a long time and we were happy to see the Dynaudio and dual exhaust features be carried over from the MSI GT683R as they were both features we really liked on the 15″ version of this laptop.

The Geforce GTX560M is a very capable gpu and the Intel Core i7 2630QM is a extremely strong mobile processor. Top it off with 1TB of HDD and 16GB of RAM and you really have a fully loaded package here for a good price.

The illuminated keyboard gives you an extra layer of customization and personalization and a good alternative to more expensive Alienware laptops if you really wanted that color led lit keyboard. Infact the Steelseries keyboard is better than that you can find on Alienware so this is a step forward.

I got a free HP G60 235dx laptop computer from my brother because he got a MacBook 2007 model from Micro-Center. Only 2 Bad Things is it has some keys missing and battery is totally dead (one of the cells in the battery is dead).

We generally replace our mobile phone’s or laptop’s original charger with that of compatible one’s just because of a BIG BIG difference in their prices. Don’t Do that Buy Original Be Original.
1. Compatible adaptors generally don’t have any certainty in terms of power ( output ). Every laptop or mobile phone is designed to operate on a particular power input but these compatible adaptors provide a single output (which is sometimes higher or lower than the standard requirement).
2.Compatible adaptors are mostly responsible for all such battery backup issues. Our laptop or mobiles shows the 100 % charge in their battery but when it comes to the utilization of the same, battery backup gradually decreases.
3.Compatible adaptors are not durable if compared with original adaptors. They generally get heated when used for long hours because of cheap parts used while manufacturing.

This is by far the best laptop PC brand on the market. Higher performance, reliability and tech support at a lower price than all other PCs I’ve researched of equivalent setup.

No notorious issues with Lenovo either, not like Alienware or XPS heating issues, Macintosh quality control issues, or HP stability issues. This is a solid and stable professional computer.

I bought the W510 workstation new from the manufacturer’s website: Lenovo.com

On the site you have the option to shop as a student (if you are a student), which gave me 5% off the price. Then I used a manufacturer’s eCoupon for an additional 20%. The coupons come and go, last summer Lenovo had a 30% coupon, currently I think they have a 10% for the W510. The coupons are totally legitimate, you just enter the appropriate code at checkout. I don’t use secondary sources for coupon codes. Here is the current link:

Update Thursday, January 27th 2011:
On the W510 Audio
The W510’s audio is good, but not so good for true music listening. It’s more suited for television shows and similar types of audio. When it comes to harmonies and bass, the speakers tend to buzz and distort. But this is the same issue with all laptops.

If you buy ANY laptop and want to listen to some good music, I would hit up some Logitech speakers or Sony headphones, to name a few preferred brands. My personal Sony headphones are the MDR-V600. They’re cheap, great quality and has a long extension cord.
