Mononchrom’s Johannes Grenzfurthner takes us backwards through time to Cyberpipes Computer Museum, a huge collection of functioning vintage computers located in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Dunja Rosina, Head of Project and a founder of the museum, shows us the collection which includes such dinosaurs as the Commodore 64, the ZX Spectrum, and the worlds first widely used business computer the IBM XT. Dunja and Johannes share nostalgia of the days of pirating games from the radio, the importance of the mouse, and the golden age of gaming in one color.

I collect retro computers and consoles (video of my collection on my channel), and museums like this are absolute heaven.
I went to the Bletchly Park computer museum in Milton Keynes UK recently, and they had a recreation of the WWII Colossus, used to break the german lorenz codes. Such an awesome machine.

i guess you can still broadcast games today but imagine how long it would take you would need 4 vhs tapes set to long play after a 32 hour wait would really be devastating if it crashes and have to do it over again heh

wow … my first computer was an ACER 486, 40 Mb of hard drive 16 mb of ram I think… for an additional 40 Mb of hard space.. it was about $400
it was back in 1993…. my first game was wolfenstein3D and doom.. I had it on 5 diskettes haha … wow.. those days

my first pc was a ZX81 the spectrum, games, jet set willy, manic miner, skool daze, 3d defender. Then in 86 had access to ibm 486. Then on weed for years, then in 94 windows pc. Then in 99 an imac and realised where Windows originated from. Now 15 macs later I am I run zx81 and spectrum emulators and mame to go back in time.
